Walk it off… Literally.

What can a Chiropodist do for you?

Besides (mostly) constructive feedback regarding your favourite pair of dress shoes, a chiropodist, in short, manages health concerns regarding your feet.

As a regulated primary health care clinician, a chiropodist (pronounced ‘kr-aa-puh-duhst’ or the George Costanza approved ‘shr-aa-puh-duhst’) can treat and prevent diseases, disorders or dysfunctions of the foot (ankle and below) by therapeutic, orthotic or palliative means.

Services

Professional Foot Care

Nagging ingrown nail? Painful corns? Persistent warts? Not sure what it is? Though life is full of mysteries, let me take a look at these ones and leave the rest to Baker Street.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Custom inserts used in your shoes that are designed to treat and prevent a number of different concerns. Please book an appointment for a biomechanics assessment and gait analysis to see if a custom orthotic can help with your concerns.

Diabetic Foot Care

Preventative diabetic foot care includes the regular screening and management of the diabetic foot, as well as the treatment and prevention of severe complications. If the complications are your concerns, I’ve worked extensively with high risk patients.

Compression Stockings

Used to treat swelling, minimize risk and progression of varicose veins, among other concerns. These need to be properly measured for and fit. An ABI can also be as needed.

Mobile Visits

Any reason to get on my bike, though I don’t mind a drive. However, should you require a mobile visit at driving distance, please schedule a week in advance. Aside from scheduling, any commute may take an actual week in Toronto traffic.
